Jazz Pianist and instructor Frank Cunimondo is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and currently teaches Jazz Piano at the University of Pittsburgh as well as privately. He has also taught at Duquesne University and continues to perform regularly with his trio and salsa band, Mondo Latino. He has performed with and backed many of America's top jazz artists. His performances include appearances on local and national television including the N.B.C. Tonight Show. His recordings have been included in the top ten selling and airplay lists in Europe, the Benelux area, and Japan. The first edition of The Frank Cunimondo Jazz Chord System was released in the late 1960's and published in 1970. It was considered as one of, if not the first formal organized systems of jazz harmony and theory.
